Disney Is Pushing Robert Downey Jr. for an Endgame Oscar After All

Disney changed gears and added Robert Downey Jr. to his Oscar campaign. Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were shocked to learn that Tony Stark 's actor was not originally included on their For Your Consideration page. Fans even went so far as to launch an online petition to get Disney to lobby for an RDJ appointment. Obviously, this simply means that the actor will be considered for his work in Avengers: Endgame that does not mean that he will win an Academy Award or even find himself with an appointment. Disney has added RDJ to the category Best Supporting Actor, alongside many other actors in the epic movie.

In addition to Robert Downey Jr., Disney submitted Avengers: Endgame . stars Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Josh Brolin, Paul Rudd and Don Cheadle in the category Best Supporting Actor. Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan and Brie Larson have all been nominated for Oscars for best supporting actress. As noted earlier, Disney is investigating the possibility of Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Photography, Best Editing, Best Set, Best Costume, Best Makeup, Best Capping, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Visual Effects, and best score.

Disney really wants Avengers: Endgame to win Oscars next year. Marvel Studios has recently been acclaimed by directors such as Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola, who respectively described movie theme park rides as despicable. Although their views may be unpopular in some circles, this did not prevent Endgame from becoming the most profitable film of all time. Some rewards would be even more favorable to the success of the film.

While Disney strives to win ] Avengers: Endgame for next year's Oscars, does he have a real chance of being nominated in all the categories for which they are campaigning? Probably not. Fans will certainly appreciate the fact that the studio insists that Robert Downey Jr. gets an Oscar, but he probably will not win. There is always a chance, but it seems that the film will probably end up getting technical rewards, instead of big ones.

Avengers: End of the Game was the result of a lot of time and effort from Marvel Studios, with the actors and the team. The seeds were planted a long time ago, but no one expects the MCU to be as big as today. Being able to bring all these characters together in the same movie is quite impressive, especially since almost all the separate stories led to that moment. Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely should be recognized for their work with the Russo brothers, who should also be recognized. It will be interesting to see who will eventually make the nomination cuts. You can visit the Disney Studio Awards website to view the For Your Consideration page.
