Fast and Furious 9 Trailer Teaser Reveals First Footage of Dom’s New Family
We have our first look at Fast & Furious 9, courtesy of Vin Diesel, in the form of a new poster and a new teaser. From the start, they confirm that the title of the ninth installment of the long series will be officially F9 . They also rely heavily on the idea that this has become more than a series of racing movies, like "The Fast Saga" is displayed proudly on the poster and at the end of the teaser.
The teaser F9 presents Dom and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) living a calm and peaceful life. We see Dom teaching his young son a thing or two and, surprisingly, he does it on a farm. Dom seems to have given up on high octane life in favor of a rural existence. Their son's name is Brian, in honor of the character of the late Paul Walker. There is no action, but things turn out at the end when Letty hands her necklace to young Brian and tells him that it is to protect him from "what is going to happen" . We then cut to Dom, who has a distressed look on his face.
What is going on, specifically? It remains to be seen. We'll find out soon enough, as the full trailer is coming out this Friday at the concert and The Road To F9 trailer, which is set to take place at noon. PT / 3:00 p.m. ET. The cast will appear live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The event will include performances by Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth, Ozuna and Ludacris. Universal does everything possible for this one, which is quite impressive given that it is only a revelation of the trailer and not even a screening of the full film.
As for the poster, it simply presents Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto sitting on the hood of his car, fixing the distance filled with clouds. The film is directed by Justin Lin, who previously directed Tokyo Drift Fast & Furious Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6 . Lin was absent for the last two entries, but returned for F9 . The cast also includes Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, John Cena and Michael Rooker. Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Joe Roth, Justin Lin, Clayton Townsend and Samantha Vincent serve as producers.
On Eight Films and a Spin-Off, Last Year Hobbs & Shaw the Fast & Furious movies grossed $ 5.9 billion worldwide. Universal Pictures is already planning at least one more entry into the main series, as well as other spinoffs. As long as the money continues to flow, the #FastFamily will continue to live. Fast & Furious 9 should be released in theaters on May 22. We will be sure to bring the trailer as soon as it is available on Friday. In the meantime, don't forget to check out the teaser as well as the poster, which was first shared on Vin Diesel's Twitter.
