Greta Trailer Sends Chloe Grace Moretz Spiraling Into Madness
The trailer for Greta was published and everything really begins innocent. However, this feeling of calm does not last very long and is replaced by a terrifying madness. The movie stars, Isabelle Huppert and Chloé Grace Moretz, seem to give the show intelligence. Neil Jordan directed and co-wrote Greta with Ray Wright and his theatrical release early next year after being bought $ 6 million at the Film Festival of Toronto at a night auction that took place last fall.
Neil Jordan was attracted by the idea of Greta because it was not “vampires or demons and monsters who had lived for 2,000 years, in a black hole under the ground “. After watching the trailer, there are certainly no demons or vampires, but that does not make the villain less perverse. When asked about her character, Isabelle Huppert replied: “It’s a monster, that’s enough.” Jordan goes on to say that the film is about “someone who is deeply, deeply crazy and psychopathic”.
Chloe Moretz plays Frances in Greta A sweet young naïve woman trying to fend for herself in New York. Frances does not hesitate to return a purse that she finds in the subway to her rightful owner. It turns out that the owner is Greta played by Isabelle Huppert. She is an eccentric French piano teacher with a love for classical music and is terribly alone. Frances recently lost her mother and her and Greta quickly came together. However, things start to get strange when Frances discovers a bunch of the same handbags that she found in the subway. From there we learn that Greta is not what we think of being and that Frances’ life is turned upside down.
Isabelle Huppert’s performance is chilling in the Greta trailer alone. Critics for the thriller praised the actress for having removed the crazy character while being able to dance the ballet and teach the piano. But when these cracks start to appear, Huppert becomes incredibly scary. Chloe Grace Moretz has also received praise for her work in The Victim, while taking the lead a few times. A look at the trailer will get you hooked, as the poster suggests.
Greta opens theaters on March 1, 2019. In addition to Chloe Grace Moretz and Isabelle Huppert, the film also features Maika Monroe, Colm Feore, Zawe Ashton, Parker Sawyers, Stephen Rea and Karen Richards. The thriller is Neil Jordan’s first film since 2012 Byzantium and it seems that any fan of the director wants to check this one. If the movie is half as intense as the short trailer, we will all have a really great treat. You can watch the Greta trailer below, thanks to the Focus Features YouTube channel.
