The New Candyman The Members of the Distribution

The new members of the cast join two rising stars. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Teyonah Parris are already part of the project. Abdul-Mateen II is momentarily away from the small screen after The Get Down ended too early and landed on the big screen in a series of popular films. It was featured in Baywatch and The Greatest Showman . He also described the antagonist Manta in Aquaman and Russel / Weyland in Us following by Peele at Get Out . We will then see him in the next Watchmen .

from HBO. An elf movie was shot by Tony Todd

Teyonah Parris has great projects behind her and many other projects in progress. She starred in the 2014 film Justin Simien Dear White People as Coco Connors, as well as in Chi-rag by Spike Lee and Si [Beale Street] could speak by Spike Lee Domingo. She will follow the example of Mateen by entering the world of superheroes in the role of Monica Rambeau in the Disney Plus series of WandaVision

by Nia DaCosta ( from Little Woods ) which is described as a "spiritual sequel" to Bernard Rose's horror film in 1992. According to Clive Barker's novel "The Forbidden" Candyman is centered on the urban legend of a former slain slave because of his relationship with a white woman. When his family learned forbidden love, he was stained with honey for the bees to attack him and then burned to death. His ashes were scattered in what would become the Cabrini-Green housing projects. The legend said that if you pronounce his name five times in the mirror, he would come and murder you. You know, as urban legends do.

This set is surely strange because among the filming locations in Chicago, is the neighborhood where the legend began: Cabrini-Green housing projects. Although the projects have been gentrified since then, the intention counts. Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures (MGM) co-finances the film with BRON Creative, which is good news for the city of Chicago. Candyman will be shot down entirely in the windy city, presumably generating jobs and money. Not to mention the aesthetic realism that can arise from shooting in filming.

The reboot of the classic film raises great expectations, as Monkeypaw Productions has produced some blockbusters since it opened in 2012. Under the banner, Peele wrote: Produced and Directed Get Out and Us . The company also produced BlackkKlansman by Spike Lee. This news has been reported for the first time by Deadline.
