Kevin Smith Launches Jay & Silent Bob Reboot Video Diary Series
Kevin Smith continues to offer behind-the-scenes glances on Jay & Silent Bob Reboot. The director has launched a new web series called Road to Reboot and marks today the first chapter. As this is the first video in a series, it starts from the beginning, while Smith and his team were looking for scouting in New Orleans. The director admits that he had a habit of hating the technical aspect of making his films, but admits that he has matured over the past 25 years.
Jay & Silent Bob Reboot will have a scene inside an airport in New Orleans with a huge audience hall. Kevin Smith says that he was originally looking for a small courthouse but fell in love with a huge courthouse that they discovered and teased that Jay & Silent Bob could get himself find yourself in a difficult situation in the film. Jason Mewes is also featured in the scout video, sitting in the judge's chair and making jokes in the microphone.
Kevin Smith is really delighted to see Jay & Silent Bob Reboot enter theaters and plan to do it before the end of the year. The production officially began on Monday this week, which also marks the first anniversary of Smith's near-fatal heart attack, and the director has posted an emotional message on social media to celebrate. In addition to the celebration, Smith confirmed that Jason Lee is playing the lead role in the film as Bruce Brodie and the fans are very happy. Until now, Lee is the only member of the cast other than Jason Mewes and Smith to have been officially confirmed.

Jay & Silent Bob Reboot is in preparation for years but Kevin Smith's really focused on the project in the last few years. The director always shares his ideas on social networks, but he has a new life since his heart attack and goes through the creative process giving his long-time fans a cool and unique look. It's almost like the bonus of a DVD at the time of production and it's a really cool gift for the fans who were waiting for this sequel.
A release date for Jay & Silent Bob Reboot ] has not yet been released, but Kevin Smith expects to release the sequel by fall. Production is expected to last until March in New Orleans, giving Smith about six months to edit and re-shoot, if necessary. The director is convinced that the turnaround time will be very fast and one can imagine that CGI will not participate too much in his process of film making.
