Netflix’s High Flying Bird Trailer Hits the Basketball Court with Zazie Beetz

Netflix released the first trailer of High Flying Bird . In recent years, Netflix has poured billions of dollars into top quality content, which has attracted many exceptional talents, rather than going through the studio system. This represents another major talent that has migrated to the world of streaming, as director Steven Soderbergh of Ocean & # 39; s Eleven made his latest one for Netflix. And instead of telling a story about heist or strippers, he's launched into the world of professional basketball.

As we see right now, this film will deal with the famous lockout of the NBA, which saw the whole organization come to a standstill. No game in progress. No player does what he is paid for. No fans filling the stadiums. None of that. The drama comes into play when a power struggle is put in place between those at the top of the NBA, who control the sport, and all those who benefit. A sports agent then sees a way to balance perhaps the scale of power that, of course, does not suit those in power. It may not be the most exciting trailer in itself, but it contains a compelling story.

The Big Bird Who Flies is set amidst a professional lockout basketball. Sports agent Ray Burke (Andre Holland) finds himself caught in the middle between the league and the players. His career is potentially threatened, but Ray is looking to raise the stakes. With only 72 hours, he must put in place a bold plan, which is to maneuver and thwart all power holders, while discovering a loophole that could change the game forever. The result raises the question of who owns the game and who should perhaps do it.

Steven Soderbergh, an Oscar winner, works after the scenario of his fellow Tarell Alvin McCraney, who wrote the winner of the best film Moonlight . Netflix has a strong duo behind the real sports drama. Soderbergh actually announced his retirement from management in 2013 but, thanks to his series The Knick his love for the craft was revived, which led him to direct the hit Magic Mike . Since then, he's back, but he's also trying to disrupt Hollywood. His previous film Logan Lucky sought to avoid costly marketing expenses, an experiment that did not pay off. In this case, he joins filmmakers like Alfonso Cuaron, Paul Greengrass and Michael Bay to spend a typical theatrical release instead of going directly to Netflix.

The cast includes Zazie Beetz ( Deadpool 2 ), Melvin Gregg ( American vandal ), Sonja Sohn ( The Wire ), Zachary Quinto ( Star Trek Beyond ), Kyle MacLachlan ( Pentecost ) and Bill Duke ( Predator ). There are also NBA stars, Reggie Jackson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Donovan Mitchell. Be sure to check out the new trailer and post it below. The bird that flies high strikes Netflix on 8 February.
