New Angel Has Fallen Trailer Brings Big Action, Bigger Explosions & Banning’s Dad

We have a brand new international trailer for Angel Has Fallen . We assume this will be the finale of the series of action films centered on Mike Banning's Gerard Butler. This entry seeks to return the familiar script that was displayed in the last two movies. This time, Banning will try to erase his name instead of being the only hero in a bad situation. Beyond that, it looks a lot like what one would expect from a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen.

This trailer focuses more on the events that led to this third installment than did the previous version. This contains a lot of similar beats to those previously revealed, with the massive drone attack that triggers the events that will unfold and make Mike Banning an enemy of the state. There are some extra times here, and, as one might expect, the action is incredibly heavy. Bigger does not always mean better, but for anyone who's going to see a movie like this, we think unleashed action is a welcome addition. Overall, a lot of things are happening here.

Angel Has Fallen is once again centered on Mike Banning (Gerard Butler). This time, there is an attempt to assassinate US President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman). Subsequently, his trusted agent, the secret service agent, Mike Banning, becomes the main suspect and is placed in custody. Mike manages to escape from prison and turns into a much sought-after fugitive man. He must escape his own agency and stay one step ahead of the FBI to discover the real threat to the president. Desperate and unavailable, he turns to unlikely allies to help him bleach his name and, more importantly, to ensure the safety of his family and the country.

The Cast also includes Jada Pinkett Smith, Lance Reddick, Tim Blake Nelson, Piper Perabo , Nick Nolte and Danny Huston. Ric Roman Waugh assumes direction of this entry, from a scenario that he co-authored with Robert Mark Kamen and Matt Cook. A different director was set up at each new entry, with Antoine Fuqua at the helm for Olympus Has Fallen. Babak Najafi took over from London Has Fallen. Waugh had already directed the 2013 films Snitch and Shot Caller .

The two previous films have proven to be solid sources of box office revenue, bringing in a total of $ 376 million worldwide. Hollywood is struggling to make money with average budget action films these days, but this series has turned out to be the rare exception. Can they capture this same magic a third time? We will know soon. Angel fell in battle to be released in theaters on August 23. Be sure to watch the new international trailer for the LionsgateFilmsUK YouTube channel.
