New Scooby-Doo Movie Gets Zac Efron & Amanda Seyfried as Fred & Daphne
We have our new Fred and Daphne in the upcoming Scooby-Doo movie. Warner Bros. is currently trying to use their characters from Hanna-Barbera, with whom they have not become used to much in recent years, in the hope of generating business fueled by nostalgia at the box office. It all starts with a new animated film Scooby-Doo and they in turn bring a lot of star power to spark interest. Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried were named Fred and Daphne, respectively.
According to a new report, Zac Efron signed with Fred Jones, with Amanda Seyfried on board to call Daphne Blake. . They join an already starred cast, which includes Will Forte in Shaggy, Gina Rodriguez in Velma, Tracy Morgan in Captain Caveman and the legendary Frank Welker will resume his voice as a talking talking dog. Welker has also performed Fred in the original animated series and Scooby since 1969. He will be at least a little wrong not to have him at his post.
For his part, Zac Efron has made some interesting choices since leaving High School Musical . He played in R-rated comedies like Neighbors and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates while taking dramatic turns here and there, as in Ted Bundy's next biopic , Extremely Naughty, ugly shocking and vile . He should also play alongside Matthew McConaughey in the upcoming comedy drama The Beach Bum . Amanda Seyfried, meanwhile, is on a good start, having starred in the Oscar-nominated film First Reformed alongside Ethan Hawke and Mama Mia! Here We Go Again was a box office success. Some of his other credits include Mean Girls and The Body of Jennifer .

The Original Scooby-Doo Where Are You? ! The animated series debuted in 1969 and, although this series, in particular, has been of relatively short duration, the property has lasted for decades. Over the years, it has seen many iterations, including many shows, home videos, video games, comics and just about everything else. Regarding the big screen, the franchise is dormant since the film Scooby-Doo : Monsters Unleashed, which followed the predecessor of 2002.
