Nickelodeon Is Planning Ninja Turtles & Loud House Animated Movies for Netflix
Two of Nickelodeon's biggest tracks head for Netflix with new, original movies. It was announced that the network would produce films for streaming service on the basis of an animated series The Ascension of Ninja Turtles and Loud House. This is part of a larger, multi-image contract between Paramount Pictures and Netflix at the end of last year.
According to a new report, Viacom's CEO, Bob Bakish, reportedly confirmed the news during a recent conference call. Viacom is the parent company of Paramount and Nickelodeon. This broadens the company's business relationship with Netflix, since it already produces the series Pinky Malinky as well as the highly anticipated live-action series based on Avatar: The Last Master of the air . It was pointed out that these two projects were films, not television programs, and that they hoped that they would help to promote all the brands. Bakish had this to say about it.
"This is both an additional activity and a powerful promotion for these two concessions."
hero in a half-shell back in the world of 2D animation. Many fans had initially discovered the Turtles during the animated series of the '80s, which means that when the movie ends up landing on Netflix, not only younger viewers will be listening, but adults who might being nostalgic will probably make a click.
The main actors in the series include Omar Miller as Raphael, Ben Schwartz as Leonardo, Josh Brener as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith as Michelangelo, Kat Graham as April O Neil and Eric Bauza as Splinter. We expect that they are all on board for the movie. This could also help fill the void while Paramount reboots live the TMNT franchise, after the failure of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows of 2016.
As for The Loud House which comes from the creator Chris Savino, has become one of the most popular shows Nickelodeon, which is in its third season. He is the second after Spongebob Squarepants for a long time and even has a spin-off in the pipeline in the form of The Casagrandes . The show is centered on a boy named Lincoln Loud who grows up with his ten sisters. Paramount originally had a film based on The Loud House that was due out in 2020, but has since been removed from the calendar, no doubt as a result of this agreement with Netflix.
At the present time, no detail of the plot has been revealed for one or the other project, and it is not also not clear who will direct the respective films. Neither is it known when one or the other movie will debut on the streaming service, but 2020 does not seem unrealistic, given that The Loud House owed it to Original go out in room next year. This news had already been reported by the Hollywood Reporter.
