Official Rise of Skywalker Synopsis Teases New Legends & Final Battle for Freedom
We have a new official synopsis for . Disney and Lucasfilm recently gave us a new look at the sequel to D23, which gave us some very interesting images to discuss, including the "Dark Rey" plan. Now they gave us another little nugget in the form of this synopsis. Unfortunately, as usual, they do not really show their hand too much. The synopsis reads:
"Lucasfilm and director JJ Abrams join forces to take viewers on an epic journey into a distant galaxy with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker fascinating conclusion of the semantic saga Skywalker, where new legends will be born and the final battle for freedom is to come. Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker opens in American theaters on December 20. "
So, what does that tell us? We are already aware of a lot of the details. J.J. Abrams returns to finish what he started with The Force Awakens . This will be the conclusion of the saga Skywalker, certainly important, but that was explained previously and that the film will be released in December. But there are some nuggets that deserve to be discussed until we get a full trailer this fall.
Specifically, the elements "new legend" and "final fight". The pronunciation is something we can choose to death here. What do they mean by the birth of new legends? Is it fair to say that Rey, or someone else, will evolve to a new point as a character? Or should we take it more literally? For now, one would guess the first, but maybe that's a bit of both? As for the promise of the final battle, it's probably true in some ways. Not to say that there will be no more war in the stars, but this has been presented as the conclusion of the saga we have been following since 1977. So, yes, in a sense, that's That's it.
Beyond what we know, it is that Palpatine is coming back in one form or another, which is perhaps the biggest problem of this case. What will the meat of the plot consist of? This is still largely a mystery and will likely remain so until the fatal night of the film that will be released in December.
