Six Billion Dollar Man Is Back on Track with Bumblebee Director




Prove that he can reintroduce a franchise with his film Transformers BumbleBee Warner Bros. has officially recruited director Travis Knight to take over The Man of Six Billion Dollars who has long been developing Hell.

Mark Wahlberg was long attached to the star in The Man of Six Billion Dollars which is an updated version of the series of Classic Science Fiction Actions The Six Million Dollar Man with a few extra dollars added. The film will be produced by Sue Kroll, Bill Gerber and Steve Levinson. Bill DuBuque writes the screenplay for Travis Knight.

The original television series followed Lee Majors in the role of Colonel Steve Austin, employed by the government as a secret agent after becoming superhuman because of bionic implants. The show was very popular, broadcast on ABC from 1973 to 1978, with its episodic premisses based on Martin Caidin's book, Cyborg. Like all television channels of the 70s, Steve Austin was fighting alongside Big Foot even before the end, even before the movie ended.

Maybe Warner Bros. will save this story for the future. Warner Bros. acquired the rights on The Six Billion Dollar Man in 2017, buying them at The Weinstein Company while this studio collapsed under the weight of a huge scandal of sexual misconduct involving Harvey Weinstein. Director Damian Szifron gave up the project and Warner Bros was busy trying to lock his replacement.

Travis Knight led the adventure of frame-by-frame animation . The first head in the franchise Transformers with Bumblebee which was not a huge success compared to the other films Transformers which were presented to him before. This, however, caught the attention of the fan base and raised $ 466 million worldwide, ensuring a sequel. It is not yet confirmed that Knight will be back for Bumblebee 2 but the film is definitely moving forward.

Mark Wahlberg was linked to The Six Billion Dollar Man from as far back as 2014, confirmed playing the role of Steve Austin in November of the same year. He decided that he would shoot Deepwater Horizon first and the adventure of action was put on the back burner. The Weinstein company had planned to release the film in 2017.

It was then postponed to May 31, 2019. In October of last year, Warner Bros. completely erased the film from his slate. Now with a new director in place, they have not yet announced a new release window for the film. Perhaps we will see it finally in the summer of 2021? It seems to be the best being.
